Environmental Noise

Usually associated with Noise Impact Assessments, which is a broad term and can apply to a wide variety of services and sectors.

Typically a noise impact assessment is requested by the planning department or the environmental health officer, to ensure that the development is not  adversely impacting on communal, residential or businesses that are located nearby.

The assessment will include a determination of the existing noise environment and a predicted level of impact that the new proposal will have to this existing noise climate.
